The last academic year saw Hutton CE Primary School achieve its BEST EVER results in both KS1 & 2.
SAT Test results KS2
At KS2 96% of our Y6 pupils achieved L4 and above in English, compared to National Average of 81% achieving L4+.
At KS2 96% of our Y6 pupils achieved L4 and above in Maths, compared to National Average of 80% achieving L4+.
At KS2 93% of our pupils achieved L4+ in both English and Maths, compared to a National Average of 74% achieving L4+.
A fabulous 37% of them achieved at the higher level 5 (well above average) in English compared to the national average of 29%. In Maths we achieved 33% L5. We even had some pupils achieve L6 in Maths, a phenomenal achievement working at nationally expected level for end of KS3 Y9.

SAT Test results KS1
At KS1 86.2% of our pupils achieved L2 and above in Reading, 83% achieved L2+ in Writing and 86% achieved L2+ in Maths.
A wonderful 48.3% achieved at the higher Level 3 (well above average) for Reading, and well above the National Average of 26%.
10.3% achieved L3 for Writing compared to National Average 13%.
31% achieved L3 for Maths compared to a National Average of 20%

Year 1 phonics results
80% of our pupils passed the new phonic test. Children have to read 32 out of 40 nonsense words correctly to pass this test. 30% achieved at a very high level. We were delighted with this result because in the pilot tests that were carried out nationally the pass rate was only 35%! Well done Y1!
