The excitement of planting something and watching it grow slowly over time unbeatable. The Gardening Club members are very excited and pleased with the beautiful greenhouse bought by the PTFA. They are busy planning what to grow this spring, although the list they have come up with is so long we probably need at least 10 acres and 20 greenhouses!
Our school cooks, Sue and Lucy, already use produce and herbs we grew last year in our school dinners. Of course this helps demonstrate the value of good food for a healthy lifestyle to all the pupils. Pupils are directly involved in the growing process and so understand where their food comes from. We hope to extend the season and become more productive using our magnificent new greenhouse.
