We have a structured system of instrument lessons provided by North Somerset Music Service.
In Y2 the pupils learn African Drumming. In year 3 the whole class learn to play the recorder. They build on these skills in year 4 when they use the fingering learnt on the recorder to apply to the clarinet. The pupils then get the opportunity to try the trumpet in year 5.
All the pupils sing on a regular basis and take part in various singing festivals through the years. Year 6 pupils also get the opportunity to take part in Young Voices- a massed choir in Birmingham.
