Year 5 spent an exciting day both outdoors and in. We had lots of fun at Des Phippen Park; planting hedges and searching for minibeasts. We then came back to school to watch a fantastic demonstration of liquid nitrogen. Seeing how it freezes different materials, especially how it can make ice-cream, which we all tried and very much enjoyed. In the afternoon, some of us worked with Mr Coote and made bird boxes and some walked around the school grounds and made observational drawings. We all finished the day painting different birds found in the southwest which we may enter for the horticultural competition later on in the year.
